COVID-19
“Some enemies are invisible. And it takes a mighty force to stand up to them in the face of uncertainty. That is why we continue to seek out the best and brightest to keep us ready and able for any test that comes before us.”
As our Nation navigates the COVID-19 global pandemic, The safety of Midwest Logistics staff, their dependents, and visitors to our site remains a top priority. Our Health Services team are continuously tracking health conditions using the guidance of the World Health Organization and the U.S.Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We continue to adapt and evolve its emergency management procedures to address the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
For those whose work requires them to come in person, creating a safe workspace is paramount. Social distancing, staggered shifts, adjusted work areas and face coverings are just some of the ways that Midwest Logistic is protecting our staff.
These difficult and unique times call for more, added paid-time-off options for those in high-risk categories, telemedicine, telephone counseling and expanded backup childcare are available to all Midwest Logistics employees, to support their financial, physical and mental well-being.
During this time of crisis, we are continuing our mission-critical work for our customers, in support of national security. We take great pride in our mission to define what is possible, and we are committed to doing what we do best; solving tough problems.
Supporting our Suppliers
Midwest Logistics work depends on a vast ecosystem of suppliers from across the U.S. To ensure our critical industrial supply chain survives and stays healthy beyond this crisis, we are continuing to place orders and accelerating payments. The economic fallout from the coronavirus has been particularly devastating to many small and mid-sized businesses, which is why Midwest Logistic is immediately advancing payments to these critical suppliers.
Serving Communities
Midwest Logistics is dedicated to supporting our local communities, where we live and work, through contributions and in-kind donations. We are giving to organizations involved in COVID-19 relief efforts now, including funding to support frontline healthcare workers, first responders and service members; for food banks; and helping to get Americans access to technology for virtual seminars on COVID-19. We’re also focused on partnership relations with companies using 3-D printers to produce thousands of face shields for hospitals.
